What Is Personal Data

This may include a person’s name, address, workplace, marital status, phone number, email address, etc. Information about your contact with Utladalen Camping—such as the reason for contact and the method of contact—may also be considered personal data.

Who Is Responsible for Processing Your Personal Data

Utladalen Camping’s Office Manager is responsible for the company’s processing of personal data. If responsibilities are delegated in the future, only the tasks will be delegated—the overall responsibility for personal data will always remain with Utladalen Camping.

Personal Data Collected by Utladalen Camping

Utladalen Camping has two sources of personal data, both based on Section 8 of the Personal Data Act.

The primary source is information you provide yourself, mainly through the contact form on Utladalen Camping’s website. The contact form serves as a point of contact between potential/existing customers and Utladalen Camping. Completing the form is entirely voluntary—you may also remain a passive visitor to the website. Personal data collected through the contact form includes name, phone number, and email address.

Following submission of the contact form, additional personal data may be generated through email, phone calls, or similar correspondence between Utladalen Camping and you as a potential or existing customer.

Another source of personal data is information Utladalen Camping collects itself through Google Analytics. This includes data such as time spent on the website, IP address, links clicked, and the number of users visiting the site at different times.

How Utladalen Camping Uses Personal Data

The purpose of the contact form and subsequent correspondence is to follow up on enquiries and obligations towards customers. Utladalen Camping relies on this open platform of communication to ensure satisfactory dialogue and service delivery.

The purpose of data collected via Google Analytics is to improve the website experience. This may include making layouts more user-friendly, understanding user trends, improving service efficiency, delivering expected services more effectively, and preventing criminal activity such as hacking.

The legal basis for Utladalen Camping’s processing of personal data is Section 11 of the Personal Data Act.

Managing Your Personal Data

The limited amount of personal data collected by Utladalen Camping—both provided by you and collected independently—is minimal compared to many other services. As a result, user-managed settings such as app preferences or personalised advertising controls are not applicable. The collected data is not used for such purposes.

However, you always retain rights related to your personal data, as outlined below.

Sharing of Information with Third Parties

Utladalen Camping does not share personal data from the contact form, its own data collection, or any other sources with third parties. Should such sharing ever become relevant, you will always be asked for consent in advance.

Secure Storage, Deletion, and Internal Control

In accordance with Section 13 of the Personal Data Act, all personal data received by Utladalen Camping is stored securely via email or server for the duration of the relationship between you and Utladalen Camping. Upon termination of this relationship, all communication and personal data will be deleted within two years.

Utladalen Camping maintains internal controls to ensure that storage, security, and deletion of data are handled in accordance with applicable legal standards.

Your Rights

Under the Personal Data Act, you as a user or customer of Utladalen Camping have the right to be forgotten, the right to data portability, the right of access, and the right to object to profiling.

The right to be forgotten means you may request that all personal data registered with Utladalen Camping be deleted. If no such request is made, most personal data will be deleted automatically two years after contact ends.

The right to data portability allows you to receive a digital copy of all personal data Utladalen Camping holds about you. This right also includes the ability to transfer this data to another organisation, where technically feasible and appropriate. This applies to data you have provided via the contact form and to automated data generated through use of Utladalen Camping’s services.

The right of access entitles you to see what personal data Utladalen Camping has registered about you.

The right to object to profiling allows you to prevent Utladalen Camping from analysing your behaviour or usage patterns in order to tailor services to you. Typical examples include personalised advertising, service development, and market research. However, this is of limited relevance, as Utladalen Camping has little interest in or need for such extensive profiling.

To exercise one or more of these rights, please contact us. You are legally entitled to receive a response within one month.

Children’s Privacy

Utladalen Camping has no intention or need to collect or process personal data relating to children under the age of 16. Any such data must be provided through a legal guardian.

Any personal data relating to children that is submitted to Utladalen Camping will be deleted as soon as it comes to our attention.

Data Protection Officer

Utladalen Camping does not have a data protection officer, as the company is not a public authority, does not process sensitive personal data, does not conduct systematic monitoring of individuals, and does not process data related to criminal offences.

Utladalen Camping may update this privacy policy from time to time to ensure compliance with Norwegian legal requirements. You will be informed of any such updates.
